We had dinner at Tidal and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience that ticks all the essential boxes. Innovative, flavoursome and beautifully prepared and presented food, excellent service and a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The menu was thoughtfully curated and showcased beautiful local produce prepared by a highly skilled and talented chef. Complimentary bread and a delicious canape were much appreciated touches rarely found in dining establishments now, as was the chef personally speaking to diners post meal. The drinks selection was suitably extensive to ensure there is a beverage to suit everyone and any occasion. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. This is a restaurant we will certainly return to and by far the best restaurant in Merimbula and surrounds. Every aspect of Tidal was exemplary.
We are locals but hadn’t made it to Tidal before tonight. That will change! What a fantastic treat to have superb high quality food meeting a variety of dietry needs in a lovely relaxing spot by the sea. Wonderful! We will be back
This was a fine dining experience. The food was exquisite and the service friendly. The restaurant is lovely with views looking out on the lake. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for atmosphere is because of the building work going on nearby. This is no one’s fault, it’s called progress.
The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the steak was tender and done just right. Every dish looked like a work of art. We had a mix of seafood and steak dishes, including prawns, scallops, and beautifully cooked beef, all served with delicious sauces and sides. The service was excellent friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
We had a wonderful evening. From dealing with Fi with adding extra people our booking to having the chef speak to every table at the end of the night. It's those kind of moments that makes an evening memorable. The food was beyond excellent, so much so that we've booked to come back again during our stay.
My husband and I made a reservation at this restaurant last night. It wasn't particularly busy, probably because it was Thursday, but we felt very comfortable and welcoming as soon as we entered. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. It was a very satisfying dinner!
We had an incredible dining experience at Tidal Restaurant & Wine Bar. The steak was cooked to perfection so tender and juicy, every bite was amazing. The duck was honestly the best we’ve ever had, perfectly prepared and full of flavour. The service was fantastic as well. All the girls and the chef were so welcoming, attentive, and friendly, which made the night even more special. We can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend. ✨
Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my family and we all had a good time. Service, food and the atmosphere was good. Highly recommend the seafood dishes. We came with our 8 year old son, unfortunately there are no real food options for him. Was told there is no kids menu. Only option he had was chicken nuggets, chips and a pineapple juice. I hope they can offer few more options for kids too. Other than that, everything else was pretty good and highly recommend this place for a memorable dinner out.
In my opinion this would have to be the best restaurant in town. As soon as we arrived we were greeted. The taster of char grilled squid was lovely. My husband enjoyed the oysters. The eye fillet was absolutely amazing and cooked to my liking. My husband loved the risotto with the seafood. We both finished off with dessert which we thoroughly enjoyed. The whole meal from the entree to the dessert was divine. I'm sure the chef was busy but he still found time to come out of the kitchen and speak to every person at each table. It was very nice to speak to him and to let him know how great the food was. The staff were very attentive and very nice. The night was such a wonderful experience. I recommend Tidal restaurant and will definitely return.
